A scientist turned businessman, Derek brings to Oxford Catalysts nearly twenty years of experience working for leading catalyst supplier Grace Davison. Most recently, he was responsible for sales and logistics across EMEA for the Chemical Catalysts and Emission Control division, including global responsibility for several key accounts. Prior to that, Derek’s roles at Grace Division spanned sales and marketing. As a marketing manager, he had responsibility for developing and implementing global strategies including product development, market introduction and sales of process adsorbents, catalysts and catalyst carriers used in petrochemical and refining applications. His successes included co-developing new catalysts for the production of industrial ethanol, melamine, niacinamide, ethylmethacylate and other chemicals in partnership with his customers in EMEA and in Asia. Derek was also a key driver at Grace Davison for enhancements to the Fischer-Tropsch process.
