Mike brings more than two decades of experience in syngas catalysis from the ICI Synetix catalyst group and Johnson Matthey Catalysts, one of the world’s largest catalyst companies. He held a range of senior managerial positions in business development, marketing, operations and new product development. Mike introduced 3rd generation R&D management systems to focus product development − tripling the number of new catalysts launched per year and delivering new products that accounted for more than 30% of total sales within three years. His personal innovations generated more than £100 million in margin. His team was also credited with developing a new catalyst in under six weeks and bringing a new catalyst from laboratory to commercialisation (3 charges) in only 10 months.
